Our onsite, pre-event preparation camps give you extra days in the water at your event location before the race begins allowing you to acclimatise to the conditions, connect with fellow swimmers, and arrive at the start line feeling confident. Our preparation camps offer a mix of pool (when available) coaching sessions, open water practice, recce of segments of the course, seminars, and individual consultations with our experts on nutrition, mobility, injury prevention - and the mental preparation side. Committed to the challenge, but really nervous? This could be for you. For the first time, from 2027 these will be available at every event.
At Event Camps

Each prep camp is held over 48 hours just before the event (midday Tuesday to midday Thursday in the case of a Friday-Monday event). You arrive 2 or 3 days early and get into the water straight away. By the time the race begins, you will feel fully prepared and at home.
Places on each camp are deliberately limited so the coaching stays personal, so we recommend reserving your camp at the same time as your event.
Each prep camp is led by one of our world-class coaches and is the perfect chance for you to develop you skills and most importantly, your confidence.

Two structured days led by one or more of our Affiliate coaches. Small groups working on sighting, pacing and drafting, and navigation.

You practise on the genuine course, not a substitute. Feel the currents, temperatures and the sighting lines exactly as they will be on race day.

Our nutrition partners and on site physiotherapists help you fuel, hydrate and move well, so you reach the start line fresh, mobile and fully prepared.
