BELGIUM - Marieke Blomme

Marieke set a record swimming the full Belgian coastline, 67km in 18 hours 45 minutes, and coaches swimmers towards their own long distance goals.

I have been working as a full time swim and triathlon coach the last 6 years, and have been swimming and coaching the last 25 years. After swimming the Belgian coastline, I started up a swimming team and swim event along the Belgian coast to be able to share the experience of open water and sea swimming. I participated at UltraSwim 33.3 Montenegro for the first and second edition. Next to being an IM certified coach I am finishing my Swim Smooth certification as we speak. And I am training for my next swim challenge, swimming Lake Geneva 70km. To summarise: swimming is a passion that I like to share and I love to keep learning and keep improving as a coach and swimmer.
